After completing a MS in Computer Science 1985 I joined IBM as a Systems Enginner. During my years with IBM I came to focus more and more on communications, first SNA naturally, but thanks to work with Universities I came in contact with TCP/IP on the mainframe early. The last two years with IBM I belonged to a market developement department with the task to support local sales teams during the introduction of new products or technologies. In 1991 I joined Network Systems and deepened my focus on communications in the mainframe environment.
During fall 1994 I was headhunted to Cisco to work as a pan european consultant focusing on SNA, APPN integration and consolidation in router networks.
After two years in airplanes and
airports I became Technical Manager for Cisco Nordic with
resposiblility for pre-sales System Engineers in the area. I
still maintain my expertise in the IBM related communications
area and I'm heavily involved in major opportunities especially
with IBM accounts.
Besides working for Cisco as Technical Manager for Nordic Europe, I manage to squeze in a family and some hobbies.
Family: Married to Ingrid who's a dentist and we have three children, Johanna, born 89, Fredrik, born 87 and Jonatan, born 1997. Fredrik has a metabolic decease called Phenylketonuria, PKU, he lacks the enzyme to convert one amino acid to another, see "What is PKU?". The pratical effect is that he has to follow a very strict diet without any high protein foods like meat, fish, etc.
March 3'rd 1997 we got our third child, Jonatan, who after a tough start in life with underdeveloped lungs and intensive care units and incubators now is home with us. He has the same metabolic decease as Fredrik, i.e. Phenylketonuria, PKU .

Outdoor Hobbies: Golf, Skiing and sailing, last year activity in all three has been close to zero due to knee problems followed by surgery. But towards the end of the year I could survive a few rounds of golf and in january 97 six full days of skiing.
Indoor hobbies: Games, both board games like Diplomacy and computer games like Warcraft2 and Warloards II. Drinking beer in the company of good friends is another enjoyable way to pass time. Maybe a Carlsberg or Tuborg in a Danish bar. I prefer single malt whisky straight up but sometime is fun to mix a drick or two in the bar. I also enjoy reading comics like Dilbert.
Royal Wolf Whistle Hunting Society: I'm also a proud member of the RWWHS, where during the two yearly meetings, one 48 hours and one 72 hours, I get ample opportunity to persue activities like the above mentioned indoor activities plus rough terrain croket and high altitude crocket. High altitude meaning above the tree limit, where no tree grows and rough terrain preferably woods with some hills and a stream or two.
Everybody has a devil inside!
